70's Show Star Valderrama to Play Aztec Zombie Superhero

01/17/05
Zap2it.com reports - Wilmer Valderrama, who plays a foreign exchange student on FOX's "The '70s Show," is to play the role of a super hero in an upcoming movie.

The 24-year-old actor will play the lead in "El Muerto" the big-screen adaptation of the indie comic book by Javier Hernandez.

"El Muerto" (The Dead) involves twentysomething Diego de la Muerte, a mild-mannered Californian guy who is on his way to a Day of the Dead mixer when he takes an ill-advised detour. He's abducted and then killed in a ritual sacrifice, only to be resurrected as El Muerto, the Aztec Zombie, by Mictlantecuhtli, the Aztec God of Death. In this incarnation, Diego is charged to fight injustice for the living and dead alike..
